The Ridgewood YMCAs hosted its 42nd annual Golf Outing at Knickerbocker Country Club on October 5tt to benefit the Y’s Good Works Programs.
As a cause-driven organization with a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Ridgewood YMCA strives to meet community needs and serve everyone, regardless of ability to pay. The Y’s Good Works programs include:
Summer camp and swim program scholarships
“Living Strong, Living Well” fitness program for cancer patients and survivors
“Delay the Disease” exercise program for those struggling with Parkinson’s Disease
Financial support for YMCA family memberships and programs
Scholarships for families of deployed military personal
Free yoga program for veterans
Fellowship and fitness therapy programs for senior citizens
Volunteer opportunities for youth and adults
“Rainbows” peer support and mentoring program for youths and teens
The day’s festivities included the annual Park Avenue BMW Putt-Off contest for use of a new BMW. This year’s winner of the contest was Bob Delaney.
