Community Meals can Benefit from Your Old Clothes

Posted: Friday, October 03, 2014

As you put away your summer clothes and bring out your fall and winter wardrobes, look for items you no longer want and bring anything in excellent condition to The Community Thrift Shop in Midland Park. Seasonal clothing that no longer benefits you could benefit CMI! Simply tell the staff that your donation is for CMI or Charity No. 87. rnCMI receives a portion of the revenues from the sale of your donations including clothes, jewelry, books, current magazines, toys, china, glassware, linens or other household items. Halloween, Thanksgiving and winter holiday home d├ęcor items are in particular demand right now. The more \"inventory\" we provide to the thrift shop, the more money we receive to defray the cost of our meals and fully subsidize our clients with financial need. rnDonations may be made only on Mondays from 10 am to 2 pm and on the first Saturday of the month, also 10 am to 2 pm. Up to four shopping bags per donation are permitted and tax receipts are provided. Shoppers are welcome on Tuesday-Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. The Community Thrift Shop is store #85 in the lower level of the Midland Park Shopping Center (King\'s, CVS etc.) at Godwin Ave. and Goffle Rd.rn rnThank you!
