E-NOTICE: STORM UPDATE, CLARIFICATION ON GARBAGE/RECYCLING PICKUP DURING SNOWSTORM AND DRIVE-THROUGH COVID-19 TESTING AT BERGEN COMMUNITY COLLEGE

STORM UPDATE

Our Village employees who are plowing are doing a great job, but as soon as they plow a road, it quickly gets covered again with snow. Their main focus is keeping the main roads and the hospital route clear of snow. We are expecting about another 6-10 inches of snow, possibly mixed with sleet, before the storm ends sometime on Tuesday. Please stay inside your homes if you are able to do so, and continue to stay off of the very dangerous roads so that our crews can continue to plow them thoroughly and efficiently.

All Village offices will continue to be closed and staff will be working virtually on Tuesday, February 2nd. Staff will continue to review and respond to emails during the day on Tuesday.

CLARIFICATION ON GARBAGE/RECYCLING PICKUP DURING SNOWSTORM

This is to advise you that garbage and recycling pickup will not take place on February 1st and February 2nd. The Recycling Center will also be closed on these days. Your recycling will be picked up in two weeks or you may bring your recycling to the Recycling Center, which is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Recycling Center is closed on Wednesday and Sunday.

Rear yard garbage pickup will resume later this week, weather permitting. However, if you do not have a clear path to your garbage cans, please continue to bring your garbage to the end of your driveway until there is a clear path to them. In this way, you will assist us in keeping our Village employees safe.
