Ridgewood YMCA fall school, remote learning support & child care programs

Posted: Wednesday, August 05, 2020

For children K-8, we are offering a robust program to support families as we navigate the new schedule being implemented by local schools. Our staff are here to help students on-site during their remote learning sessions to ensure they are connected with their teachers and to help with their classwork and schoolwork. Enrichment and wellness programming rounds out their day when they are not online with their class. Additionally, we are offering before and after care from 7:00am until the start of school and from the end of the school day until 6:30pm. Parents can learn more on our website by clicking here. I also encourage them to contact Deyanara Gonzalez dgonzalez@ridgewoodymca.org who can answer any questions they may have.

For younger siblings, our preschool offers half and full day options as well as before and after care with programming beginning at 6:30am through until 6:30pm for children 2 1/2-5+. We are also offering a fully virtual program for parents who will not be sending their children to a physical classroom in the fall. Parents of preschoolers can find information on our website www.ridgewoodymca.org/preschool and are also welcome to email our Director Jocelyn Lemley, jlemley@ridgewoodymca.org for information or to register.

We are also providing financial assistance to families who may be in need which will of course be handled with confidentiality and care.

Thank you for any opportunities you have for us to get the word out!
Warm regards,
Anne
